In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Keough revealed the name of the daughter she and her husband Ben Smith-Petersen had last year: Tupelo Storm Smith Petersen.
“It’s funny because we chose her name before the Elvis movie,” Keough, 34, explained in the magazine’s September cover story. “I was like, ‘This is great because it’s not really a word or name that’s known in relation to my family – it’s not like Memphis or something.’
“So, when the Elvis movie came out, it was like, Tupelo this and Tupelo that,” she continued. “I was like, ‘Oh, no,’ but it’s okay.”
The middle name of her daughter is in honor of Riley’s late brother, Benjamin Storm Keough, who died in 2020, at the age of 27.
